Koji RUN FOR COVER RECORDS / HARRISBURG, PA
Andrew "Koji" Shiraki is an American artist and activist from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He has spent countless hours advocating with organizations such as Invisible Children and Resolve on behalf of the child soldiers being used by the Lord's Resistance Army in central and east Africa. Domestically, he has collaborated with Humility Now to help raise awareness about the homeless right here in the United States. As part of his tours, he performs at children's hospitals, special needs camps, youth centers, and schools, using his voice to bring about positive change.

In the music world, Koji is starting to make a name for himself as well. Having shared stages with artists such as Kevin Devine, Owen, mewithoutYou, and La Dispute, Koji has been performing as a solo artist since 2004.

In 2010, Koji released 4 records, each a unique effort. Seaside Sessions was a raw session tape that came together in one day with producer Gabe Liberti at Seaside Lounge in Brooklyn (The National, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists). Koji landed with new home Run For Cover Records, quickly putting out two CDs: Spring Song Vol. 1 - a full-length live record tracked at intimate house shows on Koji's spring tour, and Some Small Way - Koji's first full band release. Finally, No Sleep Records released a full-length 12" vinyl split with Chicago's Into It. Over It., entitled IIOI/Koji, recently named one of 2010’s Most Overlooked Albums by the Associated Press, alongside artists like Mumford and Sons, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, and Gucci Mane.

Koji generally performs solo acoustic, often eschewing PA systems and stages for a much more intimate and powerful live performance. 2010 saw Koji take to the road for 140 shows in 23 states, including an appearance at the Fest 9 in Gainesville. Koji’s annual holiday headlining tour was a milestone, seeing him perform for the first time in years with a full band, and averaging 160 paid attendees per night, selling an average of 30 records per night.

2011 sees Koji starting off the year with a February tour of the United Kingdom with friends Such Gold (Mightier Than Sword / 6131), followed by Koji’s most ambitious tour yet: a 73-date, full-US tour with the aforementioned Resolve, combining music and art with an activism workshop. A similar tour is in the works for the summer with Humility Now. Koji has been selected as one of the “100 Bands to Know in 2011” by Alternative Press Magazine (April 2011 issue).

AVAILS: UK Tour Feb. 2011. Resolve Tour March-May 2011. Humility Now Tour June 2011. Seeking package and support opportunities for July 2011 and beyond.

Jeff Pianki UNSIGNED / MILFORD, MICHIGAN
"Pianki means bubbles or marshmallows in Polish. I'm one of those at least. I'm bubbly, right?" A capacity crowd at the Factory, an intimate Rochester, Michigan concert venue, chuckles in unison, and Jeff Pianki sheepishly grins. Ice broken. Time to sing.

Jeff Pianki is a natural. Like Mickey Mantle was born to hit home runs and Carol Burnett was born to make us laugh, this Milford, Michigan based folk musician was born to entertain. His soulful, effortless vocals and folky, simple guitar and banjo riffs hush audiences of all ages. Currently self-recording his debut full-length album, Jeff combines his quiet wit, unassuming nature, and positive outlook with his god-given musical talent to create a formula that has made him one of Michigan's best kept secrets.

While Jeff has kept a low profile for the most part in the new era of building careers via social networking websites, the one site that he has embraced has been YouTube, building a rabid following by posting hours and hours of unedited, raw live footage of himself performing a laundry list of originals, along with some great cover tracks. The upcoming full-length album will feature worked-out versions of some of these live recordings, and some new songs as well. Tracks such as "Buried in Winter" and "If Only" are instant classics.

By the end of 2011, Jeff Pianki will be a secret no more.

AVAILS: Currently seeking package/support opportunities.
